Overview

This is a fully remote, work from home role.

The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will partner and collaborate with business owners to drive supplier innovation and improve efficiencies. The person will be highly motivated and passionate about evaluating and influencing new business and technology trends in assigned categories. 

The responsibilities include, but not limited, to the following:

  • Conduct spend analysis, and market intelligent research and define and establish category strategies and roadmaps for supply chain category including, but not limited to warehouse and distribution, MROs, packaging and utilities
  • Own the sourcing process: Requirement gathering, identifying sources, creating and issuing RFX, Proposal evaluation, and supplier selections and initiate P2P process
  • Contract Negotiations: Create robust negotiation strategies and cost targeting through understanding of market dynamics, benchmarking, and trends
  • Supplier relationship management: Proactively manage supplier relationship and quarterly business review process with critical suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, sustainability projects and other initiatives

Basic Experience:

  • 10+ years of work experience in procurement or supply chain field
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering focus and MBA preferred
  • Experience in indirect souring categories in utilities, and supply chain, such as warehouse and distribution automation, packaging, facilities etc.
  • Proficiency using ERP and eSourcing tools, and MS Office, excellent using Excel, PowerPoint

With the following certifications will be a plus:

  • CPSM or CPM and/or CPIM certification
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Project Management certifications

Other capabilities:

  • Strong negotiation skills, highly proactive and has a high attention to detail
  • Strong Project Management and ability to prioritize projects and bring the project to closure in a timely matter
  • Experience in developing and executing category strategies to help improve cost while at the same time providing solutions around new product and services
  • Demonstrate business acumen and be creative and innovative
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to convey clear messaging to business owners to help influence change
  • Continuous improvement experience and open-minded
  • Excellent in evaluating existing suppliers performance against contractual obligations to help determine go forward strategy.
