The Sr. Manager Marketing Strategy is an individual contributor who is responsible for managing the development of marketing plans and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies and tactics. The role works in partnership with the business to support strategic plans for specific markets, verticals and services in order to reach marketing and sales goals. The role requires understanding the buyer needs and customer personas, to then apply that knowledge to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver a dynamic product marketing strategy to meet the objectives of the business.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, and execute the Veyer market strategy. Responsible for managing the development of marketing plans and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies and tactics for the next 3-5 years of the Veyer brand.
  • Act as liaison between business units. Define and launch the Veyer brand and strategically define and tactically execute the Veyer name, brand promise, and messaging. Develop and lead teams to execute marketing strategies.
  • Develop and execute go to market and prospect campaigns. Lead generation tactics, sales tools and compelling audience-specific messages as well as presentations, customer success stories, and videos.
  • Lead creation of core value proposition and selling points with input and collaboration from product management, sales leadership, and field teams.
  • Drive and provide thought leadership content to engage, educate, and inspire one of our key persona audiences including web copy, blogs, bylines, guides/white papers, and more. Communicate findings and recommendations. Owns the narrative and content creation process from pitch to publication. 
  • Measure brand sentiment and conduct research to measure the health of the Veyer brand. Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs: provide analytical metrics to support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Market intelligence: be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Understand the competitive landscape, be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned. Maintain a working knowledge of trends, innovations & best practices within marketing and the Supply Chain or Logistics Services industries.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred degree in business or marketing
  • 10+ years marketing experience
  • 5+ years of people leadership and direct management experience
  • At least 5 years in logistics or supply chain industry are highly desirable
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in related field
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Exceptional written communication skills in building forward-thinking marketing material that aligns with our overall messaging.
  • Hands-on capability to build a range of marketing assets, including succinct demos, slide pitch-decks, eBooks, videos, and event/webinar content.
  • Proven track record to work well externally: with customers, with channel partners, and with agencies
  • Data driven and analytical; exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office Applications
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Excellent project management
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools such as IC2, Google Analytics, Hootsuite
  • Excel skills, Relational Database, workflow – SharePoint, etc. MS Project, Visio.
