Overview

The ODP Corporation recently announced a new technology business and the acquisition of Enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) company, BuyerQuest. We are seeking talented and ambitious Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join our rapidly growing team. This is a rare opportunity to be a part of a tech-forward start-up business within a Fortune 500 company. The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect will be working with the engineering, sales and customer success team to help drive technical implementations for our clients/prospects. The candidate will be providing new and prospective clients the technical guidelines needed for successful client implementation. 
 

 

Job Responsibilities:
• Comfortable representing the company on prospect demos, client engagements where a technical product expert is needed to support new business and existing client implementation into BuyerQuest network
• Ability to quickly synthesize feedback, offer creative solutions, and manage client expectations within the scope of the existing product offerings 
• Share technical best practices, implementation paths and successful technical case studies with clients
• Actively support the Customer Success and Sales teams by parsing client requests into technical solutions.

 

 
Qualifications: 
• B.S. in Computer Science, related field, or applicable professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in presales engineering or similar role.
• Highly proficient in bidirectional API integrations.
• Advanced knowledge on data transfer needs and methods. Experience with cXML, EDI
• Familiarity with high data volume, transactional systems requiring elaborate data integrations with 3rd parties.
• Strong active listening and customer interaction skills as well as ability to understand the root of a client request as it relates to their company goals
• Ability to document technical solutions and best practices to build a knowledge base for client implementations.
• Ability to work in agile, fast-moving development environment, preferably startup.
• Ability to navigate changing priorities and plans.

Retail District Sales Manager

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.

The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way. As a Store Manager, Phillip was identified as a high potential leader and was selected for our “Blue Angels” program for leadership development which led to his current DSM role.
