Overview

The Coordinator, Global Compliance & Legal Operations is primarily responsible for providing support to the Manager, Global Compliance and Legal Operations Manager. This position, will be responsible for the department’s data entry and tracking related to legal/professional fees submitted for approval and invoice review in the approved billing system, as well as tracking Department travel and related expenses, to include dues and subscriptions. Ensure established practices and guidelines are consistent with regulatory requirements. Works with business partners at varying leadership levels to facilitate compliance and data protection compliance. Seeks ways to improve processes and help the department function more efficiently and effectively.  This position provides administration support for the Legal Department as needed and operates with latitude in accomplishing tasks.  This position works under the supervision of the Manager.


Primary/Key Responsibilities

Perform all tasks associated with processing of legal invoices and perform other financial reporting functions, including data entry, report development and generation and backup support for financial reconciliation reports. Provide support on a case-by-case basis in the Legal Department case management software. Assist with administrative tasks (such as correspondence, mailing, file purging and cleanup, vital document entry into the applicable Legal Department system, and file room, etc).
Assists Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Manager in developing processes, systems, protocols and programs to address regulatory requirements generated by governmental policies, regulations, standards, procedures and guidelines under which the company operates.
Supports coordination between Legal team and other departments to continue building an effective compliance program, establish guidelines and practices consistent with Company requirements.
Coordinate review and input from appropriate business unit employees as needed to complete compliance documents.
 

Education & Experience

Level of Formal Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Area of Study: Legal Administration or related disciplines
Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in related field
