What You’ll Do

This Principal Cybersecurity Technical Program Manager (TPM) position requires a seasoned and visionary individual to navigate the complexities and challenges in the constantly evolving security landscape, ensuring that the end-to-end technology solutions are secure.

  • Focus on leading several Cybersecurity Programs, including a Security Champion Program to positively influence and build a security-aware culture within the Company, with the goal of continuously improving the security of our information assets.
  • Set the direction for integrating security within the Company’s secure development lifecycle, through learning, engagement, and security community outreach.
  • Lead long-term strategic planning to improve enterprise security with the opportunity to innovate with multi-disciplinary technical and functional teams on the most complex solutions.

Day-to-day, you’ll own five primary areas of responsibility:

  1. Manage a program space, including defining program goals and objectives, breaking down the program into executable projects, and building a multi-year program roadmap.
  2. Define and build the end-to-end program, responsibilities and supporting processes; lead cross-functional teams on requirements, system designs, user experience designs, implementations, testing, and feature launches following an Agile development process.
  3. Ensure that program workstreams and related activity run efficiently by proactively identifying and mitigating risks, managing and resolving issues, and removing barriers slowing teams down.
  4. Manage and communicate status to stakeholders, including the Company’s executive leadership team.
  5. Partner with leadership to define and execute multi-year roadmaps.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related Engineering discipline.

10+ years of work experience in electronic retail--designing, developing, and deploying large scale systems on multiple platforms, where you have:

  • Lead cross functional projects.
  • Played an active role in SDLC.
  • Translated functional and non-functional requirements into system requirements.
  • Utilized Agile methodology.
  • Solved complex problems in a multi-platform systems environment.
  • Conceived, designed, and created new tools, products, or processes in a deep specialty or as an expert integrator of systems to meet business needs.
  • Honed communication, collaboration, presentation, and technical leadership skills.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
  • Security certification aligning to the DoD 8570.01 IASAE III requirement is a plus.

Retail District Sales Manager

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.

The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way. As a Store Manager, Phillip was identified as a high potential leader and was selected for our “Blue Angels” program for leadership development which led to his current DSM role.
