Overview

As a Supply Chain Specialist II, this position utilizes extensive supply chain knowledge, advanced critical thinking, and analytical skills to assist in resolution of escalated issues. This position is responsible to review, determine root cause, take appropriate actions for resolution, and determine when to escalate based on the severity of the issue. Inquiries will have a set SLA (Service Level Agreement) and must be answered accurately and within the agreement parameters in a polite, positive, and professional manner. This position receives escalated issues from, but not limited to, Supply Chain, Customer Care and Executive Customer Relations, and must be handled promptly and thoroughly.

This position is responsible for the following:
Work with field, sales and/or customer to ensure understanding of issue for proper research and root cause resolution
Facilitate the resolution by working with appropriate business partners including, but not limited to, Supply Chain Operations, carriers, Customer Care, inventory management
Use of various resources informing of any potential delivery delays to make effective decisions 
Review customer specific processes and provide detailed data for process improvement suggestions 
Prepare professional emails and spreadsheets for communicating with internal OD business partners 
Provide detailed analytics to indicate potential areas of improvement within Supply Chain

Supply Chain Specialist II will interface with computer systems such as Microsoft Office 365, GMillennia, and Oracle daily. These systems are used to provide critical communications between all aspects of the operation to resolve customer issues.  These include but are not limited to: warehouse and transportation operations, front line customer service, CC and AB billing, loss prevention, and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

COMM Team Email Boxes (COMM Team is the primary research and resolution team for Supply Chain delivery issues; Supply Chain Services mailbox; Strategic Customer mailbox)
Manage B2B uploads for LTL, order delivery failures and DC reported LODs
Record and upload orders due to LOG HOTs across the network as part of disaster recovery efforts
Administer Over, Short & Damaged (OS&D) file provided by carriers and DC
Manage critical requests from Executive Customer Relations (ECR), account managers and Customer Care
Communicate suspected fraud issues to carriers and DC’s for Loss Prevention
Assist carriers, ECR, sales support, account managers and DC personnel with concerns and problematic delivery related issues. (ex. Missing suite/gate codes, invalid addresses, damages, contact information, etc.)
Communicate with replenishment on potential stock issues

Special Projects / Management Assistance
Assist management in high level projects involving research and comprehensive understanding of COMM processes
Participate in progressive high-level discussions, meetings, and conference calls regarding trends and potential problematic process issues
Assist with COMM Team data and analytics 
Suggest large scale solutions based on training and feedback from the daily work practices within COMM Box
Provide ideas for improvement in an environment that can change day to day based on unknown factors (i.e. weather issues, DC specific problems, etc.)

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelors preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field
Supply Chain background required
Language Skills: English
Technical Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency using email, ideally Microsoft Office 365
Proprietary Office Depot systems including but not limited to AOPS, GMillennia, Oracle
Proficiency in navigating 3rd party carrier websites
General knowledge of Office Depot Supply Chain processes and procedures
Skills and Ability: 
Critical thinking skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Extreme detail orientation
Ability to multi-task and reprioritize work
