Overview

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide high level financial support by evaluating financial results of operational decisions and initiatives and providing insight, implications, and recommendations to Sr. Management. 
Proactively conduct analysis on operational effectiveness and cost containment opportunities.
Responsible for managing a budget, tracking and analyzing actual results, and making recommendations for process improvements. 
Provide leadership on development of complex analytical, budgeting and forecasting models. Actively lead in the development of financial analysis on the cost impact of various departmental activities and communicating impact to relevant stakeholders. 
Responsible for data compilation, output production, and analysis & reporting of information used to determine various views of profitability of our business segments.
The position will work with Business Intelligence on the Customer Profitability model coding and testing for maintenance and enhancements to the model. 
The role also involves data retrieval and analysis for the business on total company, segment, product, and customer level metrics. 
Lead special projects as required.
Other Responsibilities:
Establish data sources and user interfaces to extract financial and non-financial data from Teradata and functional databases. 
Analyzes functional and technical design and develops application for detailed customer and product profitability data module which will be used internally.
Create queries for ad hoc requests at various levels of sophistication, difficulty and/or complexity. Types of ad hoc analyses involve, and are not limited to, delivery expense by mode, customer market analysis, customer rebate impact to sales and margin, and the impact of vendor income.
Codes complex application components based on functional requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience plus a minimum of five years’ experience in related field.
Possess technical knowledge and provide technical support for software, code, application tools, models, and methods used in a wide variety of Financial Analytic processes and activities.
Identifies opportunities for improving software by partnering with customers.
