As member of the Product & Technology leadership team, the Director, Prod & Tech is responsible for the planning, execution and customer experience for our product and service offerings on our business platforms, with focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving increased transactions, and achievement of corporate objectives. Proven experience leading a technology or product organization, with demonstrated success managing customer-facing business initiatives from conception to implementation to delivery with quantifiable results is required.
In this position, you will develop and implement a strategic roadmap for our product and service offerings that outlines key functional capabilities to be invested and pursued that maximize sales and customer experience. Works cross-functionally in a matrixed team environment within Product and Tech, IT, digital marketing, core business teams and our global platforms leadership team to deliver and share results.
Designs, develop and implements the strategic roadmap for our product and service offerings across an specific product portfolio that outlines key functional capabilities to be invested and pursued that maximize sales and customer experience; builds solutions to solving complex technical problems across product roadmap
Delivers an optimal customer experience across our multiple Office Depot platforms for specific product portfolio by partnering cross-functionally within our Product and Tech, IT, digital marketing, core business teams and our Global platforms leadership team
Owns the design and drives the implementation of the strategic roadmap to deliver improved customer service, increased transactions and sales across our multiple Office Depot platforms
Responsible for building, developing talent, creating an innovation culture and growing a team of software development engineers and technical product and program managers, inclusive but not limited to interview and selection, coaching, communications, performance management and development planning
Interacts internally with executive level management requiring negotiation of significant matters to identify key issues and relationships relevant to cost estimates for current and proposed projects impacting our platforms

Level of Formal Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Area of Study:
Information Systems, Computer Science, eCommerce or business related field
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 12years of related experience is required
Type of Experience:
Also required is 10 years in a managerial role, 10+ years of diversified experience in software development, eMarketing, eMerchandising and Information Technology field and leading/managing eCommerce team. Retail eCommerce experience a plus.
