Overview

The Director, Talent Acquisition – Product & Technology is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s talent acquisition strategies that drive The ODP Corp’s Product & Technology business. This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and business models - focused on a high-tech environment - that produce a strong pipeline of qualified, diverse, and best-in-class candidates in partnership with leaders from business units throughout the organization. 

•    Ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in building and leading a recruiting organization in a high-tech company and extensive talent acquisition expertise and ability to forge strong partnerships with key business leaders and other critical stakeholders.

•    This role has responsibility for building business and seasonal recruiting strategies and ensuring alignment with all outsourced providers to create a connected, seamless experience for candidates, hiring managers and internal stakeholders.  Will collaborate closely with HR and business leadership to ensure strong connectivity and deployment of programs in support of an integrated talent management strategy.

•    This role works closely with the VP, Talent Management and other HR and business executive leadership to determine the best processes, systems, strategies, and tactics for talent management globally to ensure a strong connection between talent acquisition and overall business strategy that meets its strategic and operational goals and objectives. 


Primary Responsibilities
•    Develop comprehensive, effective recruitment strategies and business models that will increase Office Depot’s exposure resulting in a robust pipeline of talent of Software Engineers, Product and Program Managers and Technical Product/Program Managers.
•    Direct entire recruiting lifecycle: sourcing resumes/candidates, resume review, phone and scheduling interviews, offers, tracking and reporting of candidate and interview data.
•    Lead all recruitment marketing strategy and execution, including oversight of the Company’s career website, advertising placements and budget management.
•    Lead the sourcing efforts for qualified diversity candidates and support and coach all recruiters in the efforts to provide hiring managers with diverse applicant pools.  Develop, analyze, and report on metrics that measure Office Depot performance in diversity sourcing, hiring and retention.  
•    Actively partner with business leaders to identify anticipated openings due to growth, risks, and succession needs.  
•    Develop and create relationships with external sourcing agencies and vendors.  Negotiate and coordinate with legal and procurement on all contracts and agreements; uphold and maintain contractual requirements.
•    Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment and the interviewing and hiring process. Maintain required pre- and post-offer documentation. Meet departmental record keeping standards and all compliance objectives including requisition process, background verifications and commitments in the offer letters.
•    Demonstrate a visible commitment to ODP values and 5C principles.
•    Actively develop team members to grow their own skillsets and competencies to deliver critical business objectives and drive our 5C Culture. 


Education & Experience
•    Level of Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•    Area of Study: Business Administration, Human Resources, or related disciplines
•    Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years’ experience in recruiting for high-tech job functions and managing a high-performing team of Technology Recruiters

Type of Experience:
•    Staffing in a dynamic and diverse environment in larger organizations
•    Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role
•    Knowledge of current employment trends, internet sourcing, and recruitment methods required to identify, attract, and retain employees.
•    Experience implementing competency or behavioral based structured interviewing/selection programs.
•    Technical Competencies: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook
Skills and Ability:
•    Knowledge of staffing and recruiting in a high-tech environment and general human resources practices.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Organization skills and attention to detail
