Overview

The Manager, Non-Income Tax Compliance is responsible for overseeing and managing the staff for the non-income tax compliance process from assessment to filing and payment of annual amounts estimated at $600M per year. Responsible for assigning and reviewing compliance tasks to Tax Analysts. Preparing final compliance reporting for review by Tax Director. Identifying current inefficiencies in the process and implementing new processes and tools, including robotics and enhanced data analytics.
Primarily responsible to manage the gathering of sales and use tax data from various sources and aggregate into Tax Compliance system.
Prepare complex sales and use tax returns for largest jurisdictions for review by Tax Director.
Lead, train, and mentor staff tax analysts. Maintain performance metrics that records the group’s workload and response times. Assign tasks to Tax Analysts and Support staff to ensure tax deadlines are met for Sales & Use, licensing, and personal property tax. Report to management and recommend change to the process to address any shortfalls.
Reviews the monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of Sales and Use tax for all jurisdictions and prepares the sales tax funding requests (approx. $50M per month).
Interact with IT and other Tax Department personnel to review processes and identify opportunities for improvements, including the use of robotics and enhanced data analytics.
Implements process for filing of all required licensing and permits for the Company’s operations. Ensure continued compliance with changing business needs and expansion into new lines of business.
Delegates the filing of all personal property tax renditions and bill payments.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred
5+ years of experience directly related to sales and use tax and other taxes with a focus on compliance and the related accounting functions
Self-motivated and seeking process improvement
