Overview


The Senior Employment Litigation Paralegal reports directly to the Assistant General Counsel, Employment Litigation and works with the members of the employment and litigation group to provide litigation and human resources compliance support and counsel. 

Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with in-house support for all employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions, and assist with response to agency charges of discrimination, attorneys’ letters, wage claims, and internal complaints. 
Investigate and prepare responses to various government agency complaints and audits, including OFCCP, OSHA, child labor, wage and hour, and immigration in partnership with counsel.   
Prepare responses to third-party subpoenas, personnel file requests, and other employment related third-party requests for information and documents.
Provide Human Resources compliance support and counsel and assist in the preparation of interactive process letters, leave of absence escalations, executive agreements, separation agreements, and post-separation non-solicitation/non-competition reminders.
Assist with employment-based immigration matters in US and Canada.
Research and draft responses to legal questions (with guidance from LEG attorneys).
Manage LEG processes and systems, including LEG document management system and integration of new employment matters from acquired/merged companies.
Perform administrative tasks as requested.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a related field
Law firm or corporate law department experience 
ABA approved paralegal certification a plus 
Knowledge of employment law and Human Resources
Comprehensive computer skills (HR systems including Oracle, legal document management systems, Microsoft Office, Pacer a plus)  
Litigation support proficiency
Knowledge of employment and immigration laws
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
Comfortable adapting to change 
Ability to act with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and maintain confidentiality
Ability to prioritize responsibilities 
Capable of building productive relationships with Human Resources and other organizational partners
