Overview

The Lead, Program Manager will be responsible for driving large programs that support complex organizational strategic goals. This role requires managing key milestones across large groups of IT Product Manager and Business Teams; including but not limited to implementation, training, delegation, risk and benefit management for the company's product and services for internal and external customers. The Lead, Program Manager will own the technical connection between Product Managers, business objectives, and the customer journey to deliver exceptional service.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Program Management - Ability to establish large program structures and cadence that fosters collaboration, communication, and reporting on multiple IT workstreams. Managing all aspects of the program to deliver on key milestones, dependencies and business objectives. 
2. Cross-Functional Partnership - Partners cross functionally with 5 - 10 product managers & business teams on requirements, interdependencies, program views and risk assessments.
3. PM Methodologies - Partnership with PMO/Business leadership and other key stakeholders to locate opportunities to develop and prioritize work within the program.
4. Framework Development - Builds out framework for program efforts in partnership with key stakeholders.
5. Prioritization - Vision to track intra- and inter-program dependencies and work with development teams to mitigate potential risks and issues.
6. Communication - Communicates at the highest level of the organization on program goals, objectives, timeline, benefits, and scope based on resource capacity requirements and priorities.
 
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience required
Area of Study: PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI (Project Management Institute) Computer Science, Business Management
Years of Experience: Minimum 8 year experience in related field
Type of Experience: Large Scale IT Programs/Project Management Experience for a Fortune 500 Company or equivalent.

Retail District Sales Manager

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.

The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way. As a Store Manager, Phillip was identified as a high potential leader and was selected for our “Blue Angels” program for leadership development which led to his current DSM role.
