Overview

The eCommerce Consultant is responsible for the onsite search, navigation, and ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective of optimizing our WWW and BSD websites. This position works with cross functional teams including, but not limited to, merchandising operations, web operations, IT and 3rd party program vendors to deliver on the successful optimization of product recommendations and taxonomy for the www and BSD sites.  The Consultant will develop, implement, and oversee all product recommendations, taxonomy updates and general reporting related to these tasks.  The Consultant will also assist with search engine migration tasks, including but not limited to, reporting, implementation, training and testing.   Responsibilities include optimization of product recommendations, KPI development, web taxonomy review and updates and objective tracking.  

 

Primary/Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and measure product recommendations performance using the Monetate product recommendations tool.  
  • Work with the Monetate team to ensure updates and roadmap requests are being completed. 
  • Facilitate the establishment of project deliverables and record detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders inclusive of KPI’s for tests and full roll out.
  • Facilitate kick-off meetings with all key stakeholders to announce the start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus.
  • Develop competitive intelligence to competitor onsite experiences.  
  • Keep track of industry trends and technologies that help further develop existing and new programs
  • Act as liaison between cross functional teams to ensure alignment and adoption of initiatives.  Establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the program.
  • Optimize web taxonomy experience to stay competitive with industry updates and monthly category optimization tasks.  

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a related field
  • Skills and Ability:
    • Organizational and marketing skills
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information across all levels of an organization including external sources.
    • Listening skills with the ability to listen intently, understand points being made, ask questions when appropriate, and allow others to speak without interrupting them
    • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
  • Information Systems:
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Microsoft PowerPoint and Project
