Overview
The Enterprise Business Development Manager (Cleaning & Facilities) sales position solicits, sells, implements and expands relationships at the high end of the market (Fortune 500/1000 companies) and qualifies potential new CBFS opportunities in close coordination with the assigned general line sales representative. The Mgr., Global Business Development (CBFS) expands relationships within strategically important large customers. Typically, these customers have multiple locations, which could be found across multiple districts or regions.
This position is responsible for C-level relationship building and is also expected to work with multiple individuals with authority to make the purchasing decisions related to the OD CBFS product lines that may reside in multiple locations and may include multiple districts or regions.
Primary/Key Responsibilities
1. Engaged in sales activities outside of the office, face-to-face, including, but not limited to, creating relationships with decision influencers, decision makers, end users, current buyers and new prospects within an organization to develop a clear, complete understanding of their business issues and needs. Sales activities include selling programs to non-participating members of assigned customers, and to existing Office Depot customers, a further and deeper range of products and services from Office Depot. The Mgr., Global Bus Development (CBFS) will have a defined annual sales quota as outlined in the Incentive Compensation Plan.
2. Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
3. Partners with the Enterprise level sales team to achieve a defined CBFS sales quota based on account and territory potential. Conduct joint customer sales calls to present and develop specifically defined opportunities. Identify, growth areas and close new opportunities for products, services and solutions.
4. Establishes productive, professional relationships with C-level executives in assigned customer accounts. Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
5. Manage complex pricing strategies and buying processes that will ensure revenue growth and product mix that will enhance profitability (i.e. pricing, delivery fee, solutions, etc.).
