Overview

The Sr Supply Chain Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing supply chain solutions for assigned strategic customers.  They will lead the design and pricing of solutions closely working with the customer’s senior leadership and various internal departments, creating valuable and profitable revenue streams for the company.  They will develop deep and lasting relationships with customers in order to find new solutions and potential supply chain projects to grow the business and deepen the strategic relationship.
 
Works with the Director to develop the strategic plans to grow current customers and develop new customer leads.  Listens to customer’s senior leader needs, understands customer’s supply chain, and challenges customer with innovative solutions and profitable pricing models.
 
Day to day execution requires oversight of complex warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, transportation, or any combination of services under a negotiated contract and statement of work.  Responsible for resolution of any service failures including corrective actions and continuous improvement.  Develops and tracks all pertinent metrics to lead to and maintain a profitable customer relationship.
 
Primary/Key Responsibilities
 
1. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.  Create strategic relationships with senior and executive leadership with multiple customers
 
2. Design solutions to customers’ supply chain problems, work with Supply Chain team to develop cost models and appropriate pricing proposals, negotiate the solution and price with the customer, work with legal and executives to execute a legal contract, and manage the implementation of such solutions and contract.
 
3. Assist customers with inquiries and information requests and as necessary manage service failures and customer responses.
 
4. Work with Director to develop and execute strategic plans to grow supply chain services offered, a pipeline of potential customers, and plans to grow business with current customers.
 
5. Work with Finance and senior leadership to fully understand profitability of each supply chain customer.  Develop and execute plans to continuously improve profitability or develop plans to successfully exit unprofitable projects.
 
6. Assist in the design of metrics specific to each customer solution.  Forecast and track key account level metrics.
 
7. Schedule and host customer business reviews at regular intervals, representing our company in a professional manner.  Listen to customer feedback to improve our service offering and customer satisfaction.
