Lead Information Security Analyst - REMOTE

This is a 100% fully remote role. Work virtually from anywhere in the U.S.

The Lead Information Security Analyst position is a hybrid role combining key aspects of Security Engineering and Architecture. This position requires the selected candidate to possess business insight, technical acuity, and the ability to think, communicate and write at various levels of abstraction. This position contributes to improving our Information Security program through formal Information Security Architecture processes that deliver consistent, optimal and resilient solutions that satisfy the business requirements in a secure manner. This position requires work on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert and is expected to coach and mentor more junior technical staff.

Looking for highly technical hand-on information security person with knowledge of security best practices, industry security standards, security technologies, cloud security and experience implementing and supporting information security solutions. CISSP, CEH or other relevant certification required.  Candidate must possess significant work experience in information security engineer/architect/analyst roles.

Primary Duties:

• Monitor for, and respond to information security incidents through a variety of reporting mechanisms
• Recommend security standards and implement them
• Analyze business/technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution
• May function in a lead capacity within department and represent department in workflow, escalation discussions with others
• Participate in source code reviews and provide input to the design recommendations, incorporating security requirements to the overall design
• Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues
• Establish strong working relationships with other Technical Leads, Architects, Business Analyst, QA, Program/Project Managers and infrastructure engineers
• Provide timely status updates and communicate risks to assigned project managers regarding the solution development
• Manage individual workload to deliver agreed upon project milestones
• Provides expert technical advice and counsel to management
• Asses change implementation options, benefits and risks and recommends most appropriate direction
• Provide technical input to project plans for Program/Project Managers
• Take a leadership role in analysis and design of security technologies
• Support disaster recovery exercises

Experience/Skills Required:

• 5 + Years of work experience in information security
• In depth knowledge of how to secure applications ensuring company data is protected and only accessed by authorized personnel
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience in supporting internal and external audits related to PCI and SOX
• Experience with defining, documenting and recommending security considerations for emerging projects
• Experience implementing, tuning and monitoring SIEM systems
• Experience implementing and managing encryption key management solutions
• Experience with malware analysis and computer forensics
• Experience with information security incident response

Education & Experience

Level of Formal Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
