Overview
Responsibilities
The Inside Sales-Furniture Representative is a dynamic position supporting both internal and external customers in a consultative selling role. The Inside Sales Rep-Furniture will build and cultivate customer relationships; grow new business, manage, and grow assigned account base, revenue, and margin as it relates to furniture.; This will occur by strengthening the business relationship and maximizing penetration opportunities by providing furniture solutions to the customer via telephone.
The Inside Sales-Furniture Representative will have a goal based on historical performance with an incremental growth adjustment.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience (AA or BA in Interior Design preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in related field (Commercial design and contract selling background preferred) Experience with Teknion and other major Company vendors a plus.
Other Information
• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize activities, determine the right tactics, and select appropriate product solutions.
• Ability to act or complete tasks without prompting and effectively communicate the results or actions taken to internal or external customers in a timely manner.
• Must be able to maintain constructive relationships when faced with difficult internal and external customers and under time constraints.
• Must remain flexible and open to change due to changing internal processes, multiple projects, and varying customer demands while preventing issues/distractions from interfering with work deadlines or deliverables.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints/drawings and understand furniture layout or space planning.
• Ability to uncover and qualify business opportunities through telephone prospecting activities.
