Overview

This position requires a seasoned Sr. Lead Development Engineer / Oracle ERP Cloud Administrator with experience in administering and managing a large and complex Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion) implementation.

The resource will:

  • Be responsible for monitoring and evaluating system performance and patching activities. 
  • Collaborate with development teams on enabling features, new functionality, enhancing existing functionality.
  • Engage teams supporting Financials, Supply Chain and HCM, to review and coordinate any unplanned maintenance, research, performance improvements opportunities, and recommendations. 
  • Evaluate security needs, identify solutions, define specifications, and support development and implementation of solutions.
  • Provide development guidance and technical support to Application Development teams as needed.  

The Oracle ERP Cloud Administrator will be a member of a team SMEs (Finance, Supply Chain, HCM) whose responsibility is the management of our Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion) solution and the execution of our ERP systems roadmap.

Responsibilities: 

  • In partnership with engineering leadership, creates innovative, multi-disciplinary technical/ functional solutions to unprecedented problems and devises solutions for the most complex and highest risk business situations
  • Acts on own initiative and awareness of market conditions and technical innovations to provide solutions to problems before they occur
  • Translate user stories and functional requirements into resilient & secure technical designs; Designs, build and maintain high quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • In partnership with sr. development managers, guides the development team in overall application technology design activities; leads the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows
  • Maintains a detailed knowledge of current best practices and emerging trends within the technical architecture and application development arenas. Maintains awareness and understanding of relevant emerging technologies
  • Understands and is proficient with company procedures for documenting new initiatives with complex business cases and detailed ROI models to gain IT, Business Unit and Executive Committee agreement and approval to proceed

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in a related field.  Graduate degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required in the fields of designing, developing, and deploying large scale systems on multiple platforms
  • Proven experience solving complex problems in a multi-platform systems environment
  • Conceive, design, and create new tools, products, or processes in a deep specialty or as an expert integrator of systems to meet business needs
  • Communication skills, collaboration skills, presentation skills and technical leadership skills
  • Combination of experience with Oracle SaaS Cloud Extension/Personalization, Business Intelligence, Integration Strategies, Maintenance/Support, Common Functionality, 
  • Experienced in Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), JIRA, MS Access, SharePoint, Google Analytics

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.

The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way.
