Overview
Manage and review the income tax provision, including proper reporting of current and deferred income tax liabilities, as well as recording of income tax provisions. Manage, train, and develop staff in income and franchise tax compliance, research, and planning. Research, analyze and compose technical memorandums on emerging legislative and tax policy developments. Review Federal and state income tax issues and/or exposure items (including ASC 450 (FAS 5) analysis for non-income taxes and ASC 740 (FIN 48/FAS 109) for income taxes. Responsible for all income tax compliance for consolidated group including domestic and foreign income tax return filings and franchise tax. Also provide assistance in preparation of foreign financial statements, Country by Country reporting, and Foreign Bank and Financial Account reporting. Work with the Internal Revenue Service in the Compliance Assurance Process (CAP) including monthly meetings and responding to information document requests. Work with VP, Tax on tax planning strategies and participate in the preparation of income tax projections. Provide tax advice and customer service to internal business partners, by performing the research and analysis to answer their inquiries.
Special projects as assigned including, but not limited to, participation in the further automation of the tax planning, compliance, provision processes, and projects relating to other business initiatives.
