As an SDE II for Supply Chain, you will be an integral team member of The ODP Corporation’s innovative Product & Technology organization, contributing greatly to this pivotal transformation in the B2B space.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement and maintain cloud-based n-tier Java-based applications to support The ODP Corporation's Supply Chain systems. Use the latest technology to integrate HighJump—our new Warehouse Management System (WMS)—with external systems via RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture.
  • Support existing Supply Chain applications, e.g. EOS toolkit
  • Contribute to all phases of the SDLC following Agile methodology.
  • Write scalable and efficient code using The ODP Corporation’s tech stack and framework that aligns with our technology and performance standards.
  • Support, test and debug any enhancement to the current software to ensure a stable environment and high performance within our Supply Chain systems.
  • Maintain up to date technology documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

2+ years of work experience as a software development engineer (SDE) with hands-on experience in the following:

  • Java coding in a microservices architecture using the Spring Boot framework
  • Public cloud development environments
  • Agile methodology
  • Docker and Kubernetes to stand up and manage containerized applications
  • RESTful APIs
  • Any major RDBMS
  • Automated unit test writing, performance, and integration test writing - jUnit, jMeter/k6, Postman/Newman
  • Git source control

Other Preferred Experience

  • Kafka
  • Java 11
  • Quarkus framework
  • UI development experience (Angular or React frameworks) 

Other Beneficial Experience

  • ksqlDB

Retail District Sales Manager

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.

The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way. As a Store Manager, Phillip was identified as a high potential leader and was selected for our “Blue Angels” program for leadership development which led to his current DSM role.
