We are seeking a Lead Power BI Systems Engineer who has worked as an Azure Cloud Engineer, managing applications like PowerBI in Microsoft O365 Platform. The engineer will focus on improving communication and collaboration by serving as the liaison between the business specifically Supply chain and IT operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Experience with migrating PowerBI workspaces from one Azure tenancy to another.
- Good Understanding of PowerBI licensing model.
- Experience with setting up various datasources for PowerBI desktop/server-like Snowflake, SQL server.
- Experience troubleshooting any access or performance related issues with PowerBI.
- Experience setting up PowerBI reports to external users, adhering to company’s security and external facing policies.
- Automation first attitude and experience using automation tools like github, yaml, Ansible and Jenkins;
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux) Operating Systems. (windows 2012; Linux heavy in Redhat 7).
- Good technical knowledge of application networking, firewalls and load balancing applications.
- Experience working with ITIL v3 practices for Service Level, Problem, Incident and Change Management.
- Good scripting knowledge (Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python, YAML.
- Good understanding of High Availability architecture and Disaster Recovery / BCP capabilities
- Good understanding of security best practices.
- Capability to delegate and manage workeffectively from Offshore Resources.
- Participate in on-call rotation for Level 3 Escalation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience or more working in the field of IT
- 3+ years of experience working as Azure Cloud Engineer and management of application of Power BI.
- Data source integration experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or Oracle or Sql server are preferred.
- Working knowledge in Agile Methodologies and Waterfall.
