Overview
Responsibilities
The Production Facility Manager leads day-to-day production operations including, but not limited to:
Planning, resource allocation, project supervision, and outsource sub-contractor management.
This position is expected to maintain compliance to stated processes, production and service level standards, and ensure operational controls outlined in the company’s Service Organization Controls document.
This position is to serve as a vital communications link to CPD Site Managers, Field Sales personnel, and Corporate departmental units, by ensuring that internal customer expectations, in terms of price, quality and delivery, are met.
This role will directly manage a production team to ensure accurate, high quality print support for all customers in all business channels:
Create and maintain a positive working environment that develops winning solutions that inspire work life
Attain all performance goals
Provide timely communication of all company and division policies and procedures of RPC processes
Integrate solutions within existing systems structures and procedures to guarantee performance to within specified tolerance levels for errors and rework
Lead and support the implementation and operation of workflow systems and procedures between Retail CPD Sites and the RPC.
Monitor and enforce Time and Attendance guidelines and develop career path for RPC Team.
Provide operational support and oversight of all e-commerce and internet based sales channels.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or other related field preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 3 years management experience, preferably in a complex business-to-consumer and business-to-business service-oriented environment; or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
Other Information
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills that are necessary to correspond with both management and employees.
Must possess superior interpersonal skills necessary to support outstanding customer focus and to provide direction and leadership to all levels of store employees.
Must possess leadership skill, sound judgment and management ability required to effectively manage and follow up to achieve business goals and compliance with company procedures.
Must possess the ability to analyze business data and formulate action plans to correct deficiencies.;
Must be able to plan, prioritize and implement detailed instructions in a timely and efficient manner through direct reports and other employees.
Must possess the ability to listen actively, analyze customer and associate needs through effective communication and listening skills.

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.
The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way. As a Store Manager, Phillip was identified as a high potential leader and was selected for our “Blue Angels” program for leadership development which led to his current DSM role.
