Overview

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics will be responsible for building a strategy for report development, standards and governance and works with BU and marketing leaders developing reports, complex analysis, finding insights and providing recommendations to business teams which can help make data driven decisions. Keeps abreast of industry, market, and company trends. Ensures that company's use of analytics tools is scalable and sustainable. Represents Office Depot in external industry events and proactively forms external relationships to bring in new ideas, technology, and talents.

 

Highly accomplished, techno-functional professional with strong leadership and facilitation skills. experience in working across organizations to drive appropriate business/IT solutions. Adept in working with business stakeholders, management, technical teams, and vendors to analyze needs, define requirements, evaluate risks, and manage execution of project initiatives. Provide leadership and framework to ensure on-time and within budget solution delivery. Natural communicator and team leader with strong motivational skills and ability to build and manage successful teams. Very effective team player as well as individual contributor.

 

Must exhibit analytical rigor on Customer and ability to link data across multiple data sources and working with external vendors to understand the customer behavior and segmenting the customers and providing customer analytics like CLV, Churn etc.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Takes the lead role to building a strategy for Customer reporting. BI report development, standards and governance and works with BU and marketing leaders to make sure the reports and dashboards are helping to make data driven decisions.

·       Act as a liaison between the business and IT, help to drive analytical business solutions and overall business intelligence needs

·       Continuously validate and optimize data and key metrics by ongoing KPI reporting and insights using trending reports and other methodologies.

·       Consult with cross functional teams and leadership on the development and maintenance of customer and marketing analysis

·       Support the development of documentation including design, implementation, use cases, test cases and training documents.

·       Communicate findings and recommendations in a professional, clear, and actionable manner, articulating next steps and recommendations to various audiences including executive level

·       Keeps abreast of industry, market, and company trends. Ensures that company's use of analytics tools is scalable and sustainable. Represents Office Depot in external industry events and proactively forms external relationships to bring in new ideas, technology, and talents

·       Provide thought leadership on implementation and execution of major digital/ marketing/ machine learning projects and initiatives

·       Consult on the design and development of detailed analytics requirements and specs for new initiatives, product features and product launches

 

 

Education and Experience:

·       Level of Formal Education: Master's degree or equivalent experience

·       Years of Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in related field

·       Type of Experience:

o   Experience working with and creating data architectures and a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

o   Experience with Business Intelligence, Dashboard Reporting, Data Development,

o   Experience working on digital, business or customer insights

o   Advanced SQL skills

o   Retail experience

o   Worked in large databases

o   Collaborative across departments

o   Organized and can multi-task

o   Experience managing a team

o   Experienced with Agile methodology. Experience with JIRA a plus

·       Technical Competencies & Information Systems:

o   Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and Cognos

o   Snowflake

o   Google Analytics

o   SQL

o   Forecasting Techniques

o   Programming language in Java is a plus

o   Data Engineering

·       Skills & Abilities:             

o   Experience working with and creating data architectures and a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

o   Experience with Business Intelligence, Dashboard Reporting, Data Development,

o   Experience working on digital, business or customer insights
