Overview
The Senior Manager eCommerce leads the digital operations team in planning onsite promotions and publishing of all key marketing and promotional experiences. This includes all customer facing experiences across www.officedepot.com, Mobile Web sites and Mobile apps. In addition, will be responsible for talent management, growth, and development of their team associates. Provide coaching and counseling as needed to drive performance and grow the career paths of both onshore and offshore team members.
- Oversee the planning and placement of key promotions on the homepage for the www desktop, mobile, and apps.
- Partner with Digital Experience Managers to identify areas of unmet needs in ecommerce, mobile, and Omni-channel and continually optimize digital experiences to grow click through rates, conversion and sales.
- Establish business plans with cross functional business teams in merchandising and marketing to profitably optimize all digital journeys.
- Act as the point person to the product and technology teams for all digital publishing systems performance and optimizations.
- Lead and help develop on site testing schedule to optimize and confirm the best digital journeys focusing on customer and driving key on site KPIs.
- Focus on driving NPS scores for both www and BSD sites.
- Drive the conception, testing and development with product and technology teams of publishing components used for best in class on site customer journeys.
- Socialize with internal partners the plans the placements and strategy of onsite journeys and promotions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the digital operations team to optimize and publish all website promotions, banners, storefronts within our Content Management Systems. Responsible for overseeing the site content pages for our public facing website, business website, mobile sites and our Apps.
- Working with cross-functional teams to identify site optimization opportunities to increase site conversion and other metrics. Measures success by testing into improved customer experiences on all sites. Also, work with merchants on site promotions and planning for key seasonal timeframes such as Back to School and Black Friday. This role is the Ecommerce lead for these site experiences and the execution on our sites.
- Provide coaching and counseling as needed to drive performance and grow the career paths of both onshore and offshore team members.
- Stay up to date on newest technology and help implement these new technologies while working with our Product and Technology team. Works in Content Management system to publish and maintain the site content.
Education & Experience:
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing or Computer Science or Global Equivalent Required; MBA Preferred
- Minimum of 7 years related experience
- Type of Experience:
- Digital Publishing Experience, Adobe Experience Manger preferred
- Ecommerce, B2C and B2B
- Retail experience a plus
- Web Analytics, Google Analytics and or Glassbox preferred
- Business Process Development Improvement
- History of partnering with multiple partners from different business segments including product and technology, marketing, merchandising, legal, and more
- Special Certifications:
- AEM certified preferred
- Language Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across business and technical audiences.
- Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of Web/Mobile Applications and ability to communicate needs to product and technology teams for publishing systems including Adobe Experience Manager
- Skills and Ability:
- Ability to present and influence to all levels of associates including Executives and merchandising partners
- Agile / Scrum project management understanding
- Information Systems:
- Google Analytics, Crux Intelligence, Glassbox, JIRA

- Ability to influence and lead in complex, highly matrix environment
