As Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Engineering team, working to move from reactive to proactive systems metrics gathering and analysis, remediation, and automation.
 
What You’ll Do
Focus on automation of software deployment processes by releasing incremental updates and developing automation tools. 
 
Improve communication and collaboration to enable rapid product development by serving as the liaison between the development and operations teams. 
 
Increase customer responsiveness and monitor application performance by anticipating and correcting operational issues before they occur. 
 
Create more stable operating environments by continuously improving the infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable. 
 
Maintain advanced knowledge of agile methodology, development processes, and programming languages.
 
What You’ll Need
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
 
Work Experience: 7+ years’ experience in a Linux systems administration or a related field
 
Required Technical Skills:
Linux: Suse, RHEL
Python, Perl, Bash
Windows Workstation build and run
Web Application servers: Apache, Nginx
Automation: SuseManager, Satellite, Ansible, Cobbler, 
Monitoring: Nagios, Splunk
 
Preferred Technical Skills:
Databases: MySQL, PostgresSQL, Oracle, NoSQL
Agile Methodologies and curiosity regarding application to infrastructure
Virtualization and containers: KVM, Xen, Kubernetes, Docker
Prometheus, Grafana
 
Personal Attributes:
Passionate about technology
Collaborative in effort
Takes personal responsibility for and pride in their work
Great team player
Is driven to learn and improve tech skills

Retail District Sales Manager

Meet Phillip Rumpf, our Retail District Sales Manager in the Salt Lake City UT market. Phillip has been with Office Depot for 5 years now, and in that time, he has quickly advanced through our stores organization as a Customer Service Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and now as District Sales Manager.

The path to his current position has been challenging and rewarding and his leadership took the opportunity to develop him and encourage his ambitions along the way. As a Store Manager, Phillip was identified as a high potential leader and was selected for our “Blue Angels” program for leadership development which led to his current DSM role.
